Privacy Policy
Neil collects fish, cones and the occasional parked ute. We collect almost nothing. Here's the full list.
Effective 8 July 2026 · Applies to the Neil the Seal Rampage app for iOS and Android

The short version
Neil the Seal Rampage is a free arcade game made by Lucas Howlett. It has no accounts, no sign-up, no ads and no data brokers. It never asks for your name (a leaderboard nickname of your choosing doesn't count), email, location, contacts or photos, and we never sell or rent anything to anyone. The only data that leaves your device is described below.
Leaderboard (optional)
If you choose to post a score, the app creates an anonymous session (a random identifier with no personal information attached) so your best score can update in place instead of piling up duplicates. We then store:
- the nickname you type in,
- your best score, and
- when it was last updated.
Nickname and score are publicly visibleto every player on the leaderboard, so pick a nickname you're happy to broadcast. It doesn't need to be your real name (Neil's isn't either). Skip the leaderboard entirely and nothing is sent. The leaderboard is hosted by Supabase.
Usage statistics & crash reports
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics (which screens get used, how long sessions last) and Crashlytics(what went wrong when the app crashes, plus device model and OS version). These are standard, aggregated diagnostics that help us keep the game running. They identify devices with random identifiers, not people, and we don't use them to track you across other apps or websites.
In-app purchases
Buying a skin goes through Apple's App Store or Google Play, so we never see your payment card details. RevenueCat keeps a record of what you own under a random anonymous ID so your purchases restore if you reinstall or switch devices.
Data that stays on your device
Game progress, high scores, fish bucks, upgrades, unlocked skins and settings are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Deleting your data
Want your leaderboard entry gone? Email lucas@lucashowlett.com with your nickname and we'll remove it. Everything else lives on your device and disappears when you delete the app.
Children
The game is suitable for general audiences and collects the same minimal data from everyone. We never knowingly collect personal information from children. The only free-text field in the game is the leaderboard nickname, and we encourage everyone (especially kids) not to use a real name.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever collects something new, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
